THE FIGHT

More than thirty five years later the war continues and it does not go well.

To say that we are losing the War on Cancer is a gross understatement.  It is deceptive and almost a complete prevarication to say that we are making any real gains, because, quite simply, we are not.   We are literally getting killed in this war. More than 1.5 million Americans develop cancer each year claiming some 500,000 PLUS lives, and killing more Americans in 14 months than the combined toll from all wars the nation has ever fought.

Orthodox treatments have often worked, but alternative therapies and treatments have worked fantastically too, and to many who are fighting cancer, the orthodox battle seems lost.  Many mainstream treatments are aggressive in destroying tumors, while irreversibly damaging other parts of the body. Other times, traditional treatments are merely a short life extension with poor quality of life until death.

There are many fine organizations that are committed to researching cures and providing help and comfort for those who are battling cancer.  However, they are often vehemently opposed to people using alternative or complementary treatments, even when used in conjunction with orthodox treatment methods.  Yet these approaches can make patients much more successful than they might otherwise have been. 

The cancer establishment’s opposition to a wide variety of treatments, including more natural remedies, is widely responsible for many cancer fighters’ decisions not to explore all of the viable options -- often times resulting in unnecessary death or further degeneration of the body.

So get involved in this war. There are alternatives. There are other options.    

As we've stated, the goal of  www.fighterforlife.com is to promote awareness of all  the research, treatment and prevention options that are available to the fighters who are battling cancer (we use the word "fighter" as to use the word “victims” demeans their fight) in order to help them  to become victors.

Fighter for Life Founder Vaughan Palelei's Story

"I was made aware of the existence of some of these alternative therapies after I made the acquaintance of two people who had fought their own battles with cancer. They had both used an alternative therapy protocol called  Cesium/Hi PH Therapy, and are both living testimonials to the success of alternative therapies and the life changing, life saving effects that awareness can bring.
Knowing that these unheralded alternative treatments had saved their lives was astounding enough, but it wasn’t until that fight came right to my doorstep that it really hit home.  

In 2000 my Father was diagnosed with bladder cancer.  He went through chemotherapy several times, but the growths returned and started to spread. Early in 2005 he began to research alternative therapies and he finally settled on a herbal remedy called Essiac.  Essiac™ is a herbal tea that came from a Native Ojibwa medicine man and was introduced to the world by a Canadian nurse Rene Caisse. Interestingly enough, in 1938  Essiac™  was three votes away from being voted, in the Canadian Parliament, as the official cure for cancer in Canada.  My Father discontinued all conventional treatments and took his daily dose of Essiac. I am happy to say my Dad has been winning his battle. He has been back to his Doctors for three separate cystoscopies over the last two years and they have come back clear each time. Has he beaten his disease? So far, yes. He is winning his war. The story of the ongoing victory for my Father and the other fighters who have fought and won is what led me to my decision to come out of retirement, dust off the gloves and step back into the ring.   This time, not for money, not for fame or even the thrill of victory. This time for a cause. Cancer."

The Cause

Vaughan's cause and indeed the cause of all those involved in the Fighter for Life campaign is to promote awareness of the hundreds of alternative therapies that are available to those who are at war with cancer.  In support of this cause, Vaughan and other fighters are donating all or part of their prize money to the Campaign and to the charities listed herein.

An informed warrior knows as much as he can about his opponent and his weaknesses. As a fighter you must know your enemy. You must know your opponent's weaknesses.  You must know what weapons you possess and how to use those weapons in your battle. So, too, in the cancer battle: You must take the responsibility for your own care and look into the highly-effective, non-toxic, alternative therapies available to you in your battle with cancer. Learn about the impact that stress, nutrition, toxicity and your environment can have on a cancer fighter, or anyone at all for that matter.   Learn what you can do to save your life.

Empower yourself with the weapons of knowledge in your battle. Your knowledge can be both an armor and a weapon. An amazing variety of alternative treatments exist, although you may not hear much about it from your doctor.  For those fighters in the trenches of their war, this knowledge can make the difference in whether or not they leave the battlefield alive.
